J&S/Hardee’s raises over $38,000 to aid special needs of military veterans and their families!
J&S Restaurants/Hardee’s annual “Stars for Heroes” fundraiser, held surrounding Memorial Day, once again had all company records, much to the benefit of the coming Bradley County State Veterans Home.
The sale of the $1 coupon books, which provide $10 worth of Hardee’s treats, raised more than $38,000. One half of that total is being distributed to national charities that assist veterans and their families.
The other half, more than $19,000, was presented recently to newly-elected state Rep. Mark Hall, co-chair of the Southeast Tennessee Veterans Home Council. This money will eventually be used for incidentals at Cleveland’s new state Veterans Home, once it is constructed on Westland Drive.
